La Macadamia - Monteverde

Villas Macadamia was an absolute gem of a find in Monteverde. The location was perfect, tucked away in a quiet neighborhood surrounded by nature. The spacious house with its beautiful garden provided a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere. The fully equipped kitchen and modern bathroom were a great convenience. The private garden and amenities like swings and trampolines were perfect for families with kids. The host, Guillermo, was friendly and helpful, always wearing a smile. We felt right at home.

If I had to mention any downsides, I wish the shower had been more reliable during our two-night stay. We experienced intermittent issues where the overhead shower would stop working, forcing us to use a bucket and glass.

We had an amazing stay at Villas Macadamia. The spacious two-bedroom villa was in excellent condition and sparkling clean. We loved having a washer and dryer available, making our stay even more convenient. The staff was responsive, especially Guillermo were very good to help us, including cleaning our car windows. The location was perfect, just a short distance outside Monteverde, making it easy to explore the area. The comfortable accommodations and great value for money made our stay even better. we highly recommend Villas Macadamia for a wonderful stay in Monteverde.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a beautiful villa nestled in the heart of nature. the location was absolutely perfect, surrounded by a lush garden that offered a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere. the well-equipped villa provided everything we needed, including a BBQ, washer and dryer, and comfortable beds. the villa was impeccably maintained, ensuring a pleasant and enjoyable stay. the attention to detail and hospitality of the staff made our experience even more memorable. I particularly enjoyed the swings and trampoline for the kids to play on. It was truly a home away from home.

My only regret was not being able to stay longer and fully take advantage of all the wonderful amenities offered at the villa.

Clean and spacious bungalow, excellent value for money, located just a short distance outside the city. Great choice for staying overnight, easy to reach with a car. The staff at reception could only speak Spanish, but there was always google translate to help with communication. Very comfortable accommodation with a washer/dryer. The location boasts privacy, beautiful views, and the opportunity to spot wildlife. Our host was kind and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. The home felt practically new and had amazing water pressure.

The only difficulty was the lack of cell phone reception near the front gate, which meant driving quite a distance to get signal and contact the staff. The main issue with the house was the lack of air flow in a humid environment.

Villas Macadamia provided a perfect respite in the middle of our travels and exceeded our expectations with its beautiful cottage, impeccable cleanliness, comfortable beds, and convenient location near local restaurants and the Cloud Forest. Die Lage des Hotels ist perfekt! Es liegt nur wenige Gehminuten entfernt von einem belebten Viertel mit vielen Restaurants und Geschäften. Zudem ist es auch sehr nah an der U-Bahnstation und dem Bahnhof. Die Anbindung an den öffentlichen Nahverkehr ist also sehr gut.

Privacy & Wildlife

The location provided privacy and we were able to enjoy the beautiful views of the surrounding nature. We were thrilled to hear howler monkeys near the river and spot a variety of colorful birds. It truly felt like an immersion into the local wildlife. our host was extremely kind and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable.

One major downside was the lack of air flow in the house, especially in the humid environment. With no A/C or fans, it became quite uncomfortable.

We spotted lots of birds and even a wildcat. the kitchen was well-appointed and the Wi-Fi was great. it was a perfect respite during our travels.
